Application Eligibility
Those who were born between April 2, 2006 to April 1, 2009, and meet ONE of the following criteria.
(1)Expect to graduate or have already graduated from a domestic junior high school in March 2024.
(2)Expect to complete or have already completed nine years of school education in Japan or abroad.
(3)Expect to graduate in March 2024 from a Japanese junior high school overseas designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, or have already graduated from such a school.
※Students applying through Priority Admission Examination need to meet the following criteria:
English Recommendation method: Applicants must possess at least an EIKEN Level 3 Proficiency Certificate awarded by the Eiken Foundation of Japan, or its equivalent.
Self-Recommendation method: Applicants must be highly motivated to engage in volunteer activities that contribute to society, and must submit the required essay within one week.
※Note: applications for the Self-Recommendation must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the first day of the application period. (Further, within one year after enrollment, students are required to pass the EIKEN Level 3 or above.)
※Returnees are applicants who have lived abroad for a total of 10 months or more in the past 3 years. Or, for a total of 2 years or more in the past 7 years. (Evidence required.)

Application Documents & Examination Fee
(1)The application form with an attached photo of the applicant measuring 5cm × 4cm.
(2)Transcripts / School Record
Any format is acceptable; use the format from your junior high school. If already graduated, you must also submit a certificate of graduation.
(3)Examination Fee 22,000 Yen

Applicants taking English Recommendation Examinees must submit a copy of your EIKEN certificate, or its equivalent.

Applicants taking Self-Recommendation Examinees need to have a “Certificate of Eligibility” issued by your school.

Those applying as Returnee Applicants need to have documentation proving period of stay abroad.
After attending an Information Session and Class Observation, the applicant and their parent/guardian must have an Individual Interview before submitting application documents.
Individual admission interviews will be held from October.

◎Evaluation will be comprehensive and the exam will not be assigned a grade. The evaluation report is for reference only.
◎Written exam questions are in Japanese and English.
◎For oversees returnees and applicants with foreign nationalities, the written portion of the Japanese language test will be assigned based on your Japanese language ability.
◎Exam results will be mailed via express mail the same day of the examination.

Registration Procedures
Applicants who pass the entrance exam must complete the admission procedures according to the guidelines given at the time acceptance.
・Applicants who have been accepted via the Exclusive entrance examination methods must complete the procedures by the designated date (approximately two weeks after the examination date).
・Applicants who have been accepted via the non-Exclusive entrance examination (when also applying to additional schools) must complete the process between 1 March 2024 and 29 March 2024.
