The teachers at Osaka YMCA were very friendly and the students have good relationships with each other. At the same time, the teachers are very professional. The classes always proceed on time. The teachers gave the students assignments and how the students study and how they understand was under perfect control. Different teachers taught us everyday. I liked it a lot because I was taught in various ways by teachers who have various personalities. We spoke only Japanese in class, of course, and in fact it was sometimes hard. However, it made me get used to thinking and speaking in Japanese. Even though the number of students in classes was small, we had people from all over the world. Then we asked each other a lot of questions and could get to know each other very well. Now I am really glad to have friends from various places around the world. There were many facilities at school. I enjoyed playing basketball in the gym. We also went skiing for a school trip.
After I graduated from Osaka YMCA, I went to a computer vocational school. There, I brushed up my communication ability. Finally I was able to get a job. Now I am working for NEC.

YMCA - Tama Art University - Current
Just after I graduated from high school, I entered YMCA. I remember that I did not even know simple Japanese words then, so I had to study hard. But I enjoyed studying Japanese a lot because the teachers were really kind and taught me very clearly. I also had good friends of many nationalities. In the class teachers taught me proper Japanese. Besides that they taught me the useful Osaka dialect outside the classroom. Osaka YMCA International College has other courses and we had opportunities to meet the students from other departments who were of the same age. I wouldn't have experienced this if I weren't in Osaka YMCA.
After I graduated from YMCA, I went to a university in Japan. Now I am working for a net marketing company and my job is to give presentations to our clients some of which are large companies.
Osaka YMCA was the starting point for me. Everything started there. If I met someone who wanted to study in Japan, I would be proud to suggest Osaka YMCA International College.

YMCA - Kansai University
Hello, my name is Seo Dong Il. After I graduated from YMCA, I went to Kansai University and majored in Business. Now I am working at an IT company.
YMCA is the biggest reason why I am what I am today. I did not even know hiragana when I first came to Japan. I believe that I was able to stay in Japan because the teachers at YMCA supported me a lot. When I was going to university, I often visited teachers at YMCA who always welcomed me. It made me feel that the YMCA is not only a school but also my home in Japan. During my 2 years of study at YMCA I went on a school trip and a ski trip and participated in a graduation play; they are good memories and I made important friends.
For me, YMCA is not just a school where I learned Japanese in order to live in Japan, but also an important entity that, similarly to my parents, supports me in Japan.
