Model United Nations (MUN) Conference

IHS Gr.2 and Gr.3 students represented our school well at the 34th Kansai High School Model United Nations conference, an annual event hosted by Kyoto Gaidai-nishi High School. The event was held at the historic Kyoto International Conference Centre, the same location talks for the 1997 Kyoto Protocol were held. This year, students debated the agenda of 'The Crisis of Pollution and Waste', more specifically the three topics of plastic waste, e-waste and fast fashion waste. It seems with each passing year YMCA IHS students become stronger at tackling these global issues. In addition to fighting the good fight, students also had fun and made new friends.
